This Gamay Noir is sourced from Witters and Barsotti Vineyards in the high country of El Dorado in the Sierra Foothills. Witters sits about 3000’ and Barsotti at 2800’ in elevation. Both contain layers of pink quartz and decomposed granite. The grapes are hand-picked and fermented separately in small bins, a portion as whole cluster, then aged in neutral French oak.
