Creating a special wine lot can be both challenging and exciting. North by East is a tribute to this rare experience. This Pinot noir is a blend of two of the northernmost estate vineyards for La Crema intended to showcase the nuance and complexity of the Yamhill-Carlton AVA. The blocks on these selected vineyards sit on east facing slopes, allowing for morning sun to gently nudge these grapes along their journey into the bottle to make up this truly one-of-a-kind 2014 vintage Pinot noir.
Dark plum, pomegranate, and Rainier cherry with notes of black pepper and river stone. Flavors of fresh coffee with spiced dark chocolate. Finishes with velvety tannin.
