This 2018 Santa Cruz Mountains Merlot comes from Regan Vineyards, our estate vineyard in Corralitos. Dark fruit dominates the nose, with aromas of plum, blueberry, blackberry, and black cherry. Layered on top of the fruit are lovely earthy and smoked meat notes. On the palate the fruit is ripe and rich, but not overripe or jammy. This full bodied Merlot will only get better with time, as its rich tannins continue to soften. Suggested food pairings include barbecued tri-tip, skirt steak, and hard cheeses.
