The 2015 Winemaker Cuvee Pinot Noir is a blend of 7 barrels that were the verybest that the vintage had to offer: 4 barrels of Pommard clone Pinot Noir fromthe Southeast block of Northridge Vineyard in the Eola-Amity hills, two barrelsof Pommard from Kelley Family Vineyard in the Dundee Hills, and one barrel of828-clone pinot from Lia’s Vineyard in the Chehalem Mountain AVA. After atwo week cold soak, the wine was fermented using native yeasts and aged inFrench oak for eighteen months.
2015 was a warm vintage and this wine has lush fruit and sufficient tannins, butit also has good acidity and balance. This is a vintage that you can enjoy nowbut also has the potential to age for several years.
