About the Wine
Intense garnet colour, with a more tawny-coloured rim due to the long ageing in barrel and bottle undergone by these great wines. The nose is intense and complex, with very ripe fruit mixed with notes of spices such as aromatic cloves. Upon aeration, it unveils aromas of caramel, vanilla and patisserie. An ample, round and velvety wine. It is full-bodied and persistent on the palate, very polished, with well-integrated oak, making it a very elegant wine.
It goes well with large and small game dishes, wild boar, venison, roebuck. Roast red meats or stews beef, suckling pig or lamb. Rich sauces or dressings of aromatic herbs. Mature cheeses and highquality, dark chocolate with around 70% cocoa solids.
