The 2005 Viader reaches a more sophisticated, almost "aristocratic" elegance, showing initial notes of mocha and tobacco leaf supporting the ripe black fruit. Enticingly sweet brown sugar notes on the nose complement currant and mineral undertones typical of wines coming from Howell Mountain's volcanic soil. On the palate, this wine shows refined, supple tannins with a "persistent cashmere finish".
Blend: 69% Cabernet Sauvignon and 31% Cabernet Franc
