A contemporary homage to the Dresel brothers--pioneering settlers of the Scribe Estate who, in 1858, brought cuttings of this native German varietal to California. These Riesling vines are planted on the foothills of Arrowhead Slope and harvested early in the season when sugar levels in the fruit are low and acidity is bright. Fermented in concrete and stainless steel (without any oak contact), the resulting white wine is dry, deep and vibrant.
