At bottling the wine showed concentrated riesling aromatics of white flowers, yellow and green citrus, lemons and limes with a very attractive note of ripe gala apple and a hint of ripe peach. Behind these primary fruit aromas a subtle flinty note we believe is derived from the sandstone soils, i.e. minerality. In the mouth the wine is equally profound. The concentrated ripe riesling flavours are held in check by balanced acidity hold the wine in a dry tension that simply begs for salty food.
