The 2016 Bishop Creek is a firm and well-built wine, revealing black cherry and dry earth on the nose, along with hints of roasted meat and herbs. Smokey black cherry and plum persist on the palate alongside ripe, pronounced tannin and potpourri spice. The wine is quite dense through the finish, but shows remarkable balance and will mature for 20+ years in bottle.
