The nose on this vintage is explosive and complex, with aromas of fresh-baked blackberry pie, toasted almond grounds dusted with dark cocoa and the classic touches of savory roasted herbs and sweet earth – signatures of our Rockpile Ridge Zinfandel. Full-bodied and concentrated, this wine is not shy in delivering beautifully perfumed fruit, seamlessly tied in with a plush and velvety palate. As you will find in all of our 2017 Rockpile Zinfandels, there is a little more accessibility than expected for such a young wine, but they it (and they) retain incredible staying power. This incredible Zinfandel would benefit from at least 1-2 years of bottle age. Enjoy over the next 10-12 years.
