This cuvée is sourced from several parcels, spread out over .22 hectares total: Pierres Virants is 80% of the blend, with the balance made up of fruit from En Seuvrey, Cognées and Porroux. The vines are rooted in limestone and chalky-clay soils from the Jurassic period: Bathonian white öolite on the top of the hill and Bajocian chalk on the downslope, with a pocket of marl just above the village itself.
