About the Wine
The sweetest spot for Cabernet Sauvignon is a small three-acre block in our 28-acre Oakville Estate Reserve vineyard. This is the original source for the Groth Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon, first produced in 1983. Cameron Parry, Director of Winegrowing, selected this lot of 100% Cabernet Sauvignon for its depth, complexity and balance - hallmarks of the Groth Reserve vineyard. Aged 22 months in a new Boutes French oak barrel, this wine is a showcase of Groth’s signature velvet tannin structure.
