This bottling comes from a few rows of old ungrafted vines in a terraced section of the Kaseler Nies'chen vineyard. It was aged in stainless steel tanks and old large wooden vats. The wine gradually develops a complex nose of ripe yellow fruit (peach, passion fruit, papaya), also anise, white pepper and mint underpinned by greengage and grapefruit. It is beautifully balanced on the palate with a creamy texture, mouthwatering citrus flavors and depth. The acidity plays with the ripe fruit and mineral components. The finish is clean, focused and long, and lives from refreshing notes of dried spices and herbs.
