The 2018 JM is a Grenache (50%), Syrah (40%) and Mourvedre (10%) blend commonly found in the southern Rhone Valley in France. The Grenache contributes crushed red fruits to this complex wine that include raspberry, backberry and red cherry. A hint of plum skin weaves through the edges. Syrah and Mourvedre offer greater depth and components of spice, saddle leather and a hint of tar and smoked meats. A very pretty wine with good acidity to accompany Provencal cuisine.
