Brouilly is the largest in area and typically the wines are the most fruit-forward of the ten “Cru” Beaujolais. Located in the most southern part of the region, its wines make up a large portion of those that are drunk in the Lyonnais “Bouchon” restaurants. This wine shows dark fruit with notes of cherry and blueberry backed up by soft, ripe tannins. Very grapy, it will shine with most bistro faire.
