The Clos-Vougeot is remarkable for its elegant clarity and precision. More reserved than the previous Grands Crus, Clos-Vougeot maintains a solid, homogeneous structure. More powerful, it offers a surprising combination of the structure of the Echezeaux and the finesse of the Grands-Echezeaux. Since 2007, Clos-Vougeot has been a blend of wines made from destemmed bunches and from whole bunches. This combination gives very interesting results, with the wines complementing each other. The whole bunches produce wines with good tannic structure and length, while the wines from destemmed bunches are more generous and aromatic.
