This 2014 Boulder Falls is dense, opulent and classic Delectus. Bramble, cassis and raspberry compote aromas meet ripe fruit flavors and spice on the palate. Finely woven tannins and huge palate weight give this wine lots to love. Age-worthy but also appreciable now; that’s what we call a “win, win”. This vintage was sourced from a rocky hillside vineyard perched above the fogline in Knights Valley. There the terroir is conducive to making inky, concentrated wines of great distinction. That is the essence of Delectus.
