2016 produced an early growing season with immediate, extended warm weather and delayed autumn rainfall. A sunny spring, mild summer, and warm fall resulted in early bud break with smooth progressions to bloom, berry set, and veraison. The 2016 vintage resulted in abundant grape yields with uniform ripening over a lengthened harvest. Displaying a fierce ruby red hue, our Pinot Noir opens with rich coffee and wild blueberry notes. Sensual vanilla and plush tannins reflect the careful French and American oak aging over 8 months. Black raspberry and Tulare cherry flavors abound, finishing with a silky mouthfeel and demonstrating light acidity.
