Foster Vineyard was planted in the early 2000’s and located in the Russian River Valley. The Russian River Valley appellation lies at the geographical heart of Sonoma County and is best known for its Pinot Noir. The soil type at Foster Vineyard is Huichica loam. The fog rolls in from the Pacific Ocean and layers the valley, causing diurnal temperature swings of 35 degrees. The warm days and cool nights extend the maturity and allow the fruit to reach their optimal flavor development.
