Flora Springs 2019 Family Select Chardonnay comes from southern Napa Valley in an area ideal for growing Chardonnay, with cool morning fog and breezes to retain acidity and warm, sunny afternoons to guarantee ripeness. The wine exhibits juicy fruit – tropical pineapple, nectarine and Red Delicious apple – and lovely notes of toasted almond, coconut and brown sugar. Fermented and aged in small oak barrels - primarily French – the wine has a creamy, mouth coating texture from twice-a-week lees stirring and a luscious butter component from 45% malolactic fermentation. This irresistible Napa Valley Chardonnay is a great match for scallops with a lemon-butter sauce, crab cakes, oven roasted chicken or fettuccine Alfredo.
