Historically classified Têtes de Cuvée de Volnay, the Champans is the archetype of the great Volnay 1 st cru: finesse, breadth and length in the mouth with an additional generosity and power of its own. Depending on the vintage, it deserves from 5 to 10 years of aging to reveal itself fully, but it is general more easily approachable young than the Taillepieds or the Clos des Ducs.
